How It Started on Main Street
In 1991, we opened a small Italian deli in Downtown Sarasota with a simple idea: make everything from scratch, every day. The name Il Panificio — Italian for "the bakery" — said exactly what we were about.
The Recipes Haven't Changed
Our thin-crust pies are still made with homemade dough, house-made sauce, and premium cheese — the same Jersey-style recipe we grew up with. The spinach calzone and bakery desserts haven't changed either.
The Regulars Who Keep Us Going
People come in for a quick slice and end up coming back every Sunday for years. Our staff knows your name, and you'll probably know theirs too.
